DON’t GO INTO THE DOOR ON YOUR LEFT AFTER EXITING THE ALLEY! You miss 90% of the map.

There is plenty of action here and you get to fight against not only a large variety of enemies, but also lots of them.

Don’t focus on the gaps in some of the buildings or the fact you can get outside the intended areas – focus on what it does well: put you in some tough situations where you have to use whatever you can find around you.

I have purposefully avoided adding images for the very last part of the maps, so you have a surprise and in fact, the same for some of the middle.

I bet this is a quite a challenging map to play on hard, so give that a go.

All in all, I enjoyed this map and recommend you try it.

  2. Play It Later

What was that? I started in some town, then entered some house and after some dark rooms met and killed the enemy and that’s all. It ended before I knew it.

A replay revealed that there’s more than that. It seemed to me that most of the houses in this town were copy-pasted from somewhere else, the ones that weren’t look simple and some have unrealistically “cut” windows at the edges. There are a graveyard and a park, where you can use your gravity gun against the zombies. I’ve never killed fast zombies with a hanging tire before. And never pushed the ministriders with super gravity gun.

The originality here is that it can be completed in a couple of minutes, most of the gameplay is optional. I found the design average. The only glitch that I noticed is that some “plant walls” in the park are black (unlit).

The fight with the last enemy doesn’t look convincing: there should be a lot of different and spectacular attacks, but there’s only one.

Overall, it’s an ok short map worth running through once.

  3. Play It Now!

Wow! That was a pleasant surprise!

If this had been in time for the ” GravityGunVille” competition my overall rating would have been higher than it was for the competition! It would certainly have got my vote for the best entry as it’s based on good old fashioned combat.

I’ll take Emo’s word for it about the technical issues, but I enjoyed it and had fun playing it, especially the maze. This was a perfect example of game play over looks, the sepia like tone I can understand that some people won’t like, but because of the good game play it never really bothered me.

I’m glad I took Phillip’s advice and didn’t go through the door on the left at the start and I think the author should have locked it until you returned to it. Despite getting back to the door requires a complete backtrack, for this mod the backtrack was not annoying.

The only reason this is not getting a PF is the door on the left at the start, it was a real mistake on the part of the author. That said the mod was great fun, which is exactly what I like.

    1. it was a real mistake on the part of the author.

Think of it as one of the aspects that wasn’t polished. He knew it was an issue but didn’t have time to fix it.

  4. Play It Now!

Well, as you have guessed from reading the above comments there was a path that you can take that is a problem. But other than that this is a really fun map. I especially like the combat with the Hunters using the gravity gun. Well worth playing!

    Play It Now!

Wow, this one was a perfect little fun little map-mod. Great combat, and most of all the Super Grav gun, and I guess if this would had been finished on time for the grav gun comp. i’d certainly would rate this as the best entry.

Also that surprise at the end was so cool and inovative, in no other mod I have seen taht you kill an…., well u have to find out that for yoourself, good luck and play it!!

Very intresting. I think this would’ve been a winner if it was finished in time. It’s nice to finally fight a Combine Advisor. When I was fighting it, I was like: THIS IS FOR ELI! or REVENGE BITCH! I hope to be saying those again when EP3 finally comes out. Back to the map: Lots of different types of enemies to fight, and that’s what I really like. Didn’t really have any humor unlike BMEC or Underworld. But I must say it was pretty fun, and a good idea. The only thing that should’ve been left out is the door opening that leads directly to the ending, and just get it to open when we come back from the journey to the other side of the park. Also, I think it broke one rule of having more than one other weapon other than GG and Crowbar. But that don’t really matter.

Just to be off topic for a sec, when I see Artillery canisters falling from the sky it’s always Headcrabs. I’m thinking Manhacks or Rollers should come out of it, just like what I did on Cipriani’s Backstory (a video I made on youtube).

Back on topic: Fun map! Play it. It should’ve won, but no worries, the best maps always take a long time to make.

Just to add this to the discussion, why we can’t run an ADVISOR-VILLE competition???, that would be soo cool, I wonder if it’s thechnically possible.

  9. Play It Now!

Nice little mod – unconventional and satisfying to toss “weight” around:/

  10. Aazell

For some reason, I quite like this mod… the combat is fun and the action is nicely paced. It makes smart use of the limited play space…

On the down side I’d say that its a bit flat… ive never been anywhere so flat!

Please make more maps… and add some height next time please!

  11. Play It Now!

Great Map even being unfinished, Although I don’t like to read the comments section prior to playing Im glad I read Phillips first post “Don’t go in the 1st door to the left exiting ally”. That would have been a big disappointment and after reading it was an unfinished piece that flaw is understood. Just a wonderful action packed map needing quick thinking and scrambling, At one point I was so frantic I was actually throwing newspapers at the enemy (like that would kill them) great ending. a really fun map, I was thinking the same as Mega Sean 45 above in saying “THIS IS FOR ELI! or REVENGE BITCH!” Good Job well done

  12. Maybe?

Yeah this is quite nice, if unfinished, with it’s design that forces you to look at what you can use with the gravity gun. But I ended up getting a bit tired of that by the end of the maze.. was hoping for a shotgun before the combine came. The striders where a nice touch but I enjoy blowing things up my way 😉 It’s okay, worth a go.

  13. Play It Now!

First thing I noticed when playing this map was the pleasant lighting, though some buildings in the cityscape were a bit blocky. Enemy presence was rather light in the first half of my playthrough, but became sometimes really harsh after obtaining the super gravity gun although the fun factor remained largely intact for me. HP got really low at the end but I managed to get through the park without cheating. The enemy encountered in the building was really good implemented considering the fact that the NPC is essentially non-functional, and that lifted this map to a Play It Now recommendation for me personally. Yes: play it now … !

  14. Play It Later

    Nice park

  15. Jim

My God. Coolest of cool. That had me moving all kinds of fast. Great map!

  16. Maybe?

Like it was already mentioned before this map can be finished in 2 minutes… i feel this map more like a dev map
There was some good ideas like the final battle but a part from this there is only a huge maze where you can just trow things to kill enemies you can’t get any weapon from you enemies you can access the part that shouldn’t accessible and then you get stuck…

If you haven anything else to play give it a try

  17. Play It Later

I don’t know about this one. Looks good. Plays ok. Felt overblown, the setting was way bigger than what was needed. Just don’t see myself playing it again.

  18. Maybe?

Visuals and level design look good though but the combat is pretty boring. Simple task just find and kill the advisor and you could kill it with two crossbow hits. The map offers you a huge exploration which is entirely optional. Going directly to the advisor would pretty much miss the whole map
