1. Phillip says Play It!

I am sure some readers will complain that this mod is A too short to receive a PLAY IT! recommendation and B: it’s not exactly in the HL universe.

Ignore those readers for a moment, I had fun with this little map. Yes, most of the textures are orange and grey dev textures but would it have made much difference in this case? I don’t think so.

Of course, if the author was going to extend it then it needs those details but for me this is exactly the sort of maps that many new mappers should be making.

Some that plays well but could still be polished.

Anyway, try playing on a harder setting than usual for a challenge.

2. Maybe?

Dev textures here and there plust the shorteness of this mod contributed for me to think about giving it an Avoid It!

But, as Phillip said, I had fun with this mod. I understand that it still needs some work, some stuff doesn’t works, yada yada, but its fun! So it gets a Maybe. Think deeply about it.

On a completely unrelated note, Phillip, who won the Writing Contest.

It only finished yesterday and I haven’t finished reading the entries. I’ll make an announcement in due time.

3. Play It Now!

Yup, short but fun!

With the right texturing, more detail, and perhaps a hint at a plot this would be a fun start to a short mod. Getting out of the bank building was tricky enough, but finding out what else was there was lots of fun.
Including a gman sighting!
It’s very rare that a short map like this could make me laugh out loud and cheer myself on, but this one did. So yes, Billy the Knight? Please do continue this map. It was a hoot.

4. Maybe?

What there isn’t at all bad – but the textures? and it is very short.

5. Play It Later

A PIL because the mapper shows great potential, rather than for the map.
I don’t think Billy the Knight will do anything more with this or extend it though.
From what I’ve read, he’s released this so that he can move on to more ambitious mapping.

A neat idea inspired by some lateral thinking. I admire that.
I also admire the fact that he’s brave enough to have released this, unfinished, for our brief enjoyment

A fun little map and worth 5 minutes of your time.

6. Major Banter

Clearly should’ve been sent to the BTC.

It’s not finished, and the author could’ve gotten some useful criticism.

Ah well.

7. Play It Later

It was OK, nothing special, however I’m thankful to be able to play anything new these days that is fairly well designed and fun. I can’t in all conscience rate it a PIN though.

8. Think Twice

Very short. Nothing challenging.

9. Play It Later

Fun, despite fairly primitive mapping. But the ideas behind the action were quite well thought-out.

10. Avoid It!

I’m sorry, but I didn’t have fun playing this. To small, bad enivroment. Not really worth it. The gameplay was just fighting Metro Cops and a Gunship. Now how many times have we fought these two? I hate making “Avoid It”s, and I don’t usaully put them down, but I hate lying more.

Play It Later

I say the perfect play it latter cool and challenging there’s too little health so is perfect to improve ur shooting skills!

12. Maybe?

really quick, really short

13. Maybe?

This is not a bad map at all. As I mentioned in my previous review (Dev_Understudy), I don’t mind dev textures. The problem is that it’s really, really short. It took me two minutes to complete on hard mode. It’s a battle with a bunch of Metrocops then a Gunship and that’s all. It was fun but didn’t really have anything to it. If you want a really short map and don’t mind dev textures, go ahead and play it.

15. Maybe?

Not much to say honestly. Kill some metrocops, fight the gunship. I hate giving short reviews like this because I want to go in depth on what is good and bad, but it’s just so short. I was not expecting the map to end that quickly. Nothing bad to say about the mod. It’s dev_textures and some metrocops. The screenshots don’t lie.

16. Think Twice

The map is easy. Kill all metropolice, then destroy the gunship. For the level design, idk why it has to be in dev texture, not very appealing to be honest.
