  1. Can’t figure this one out. No getting beyond screen shot 7 for me, anywhere. Liked the graphics.

    1. Never mind, figured it out eventually 🙂 Have to really look.

  2. Think Twice

Overall a competent map, just felt a bit ordinary to me. You shoot some zombies, you go through some rooms, you shoot some combine in the meantime, and then the map’s over.

  3. Play It Later

I mostly agree with the comments under the first rating, however there are a few nice gameplay elements, and I thought the graphics were appealing. Therefore I rated it higher.

I could see how this could be made more interesting with much the same layout. For example forcing use of the underground part, and perhaps making the alternate entrance to the building work, and after that, the overhead walkway near the sea.

  4. Play It Now!

Thank you, vadimhalo, for your gift to the HL community. This is an enjoyable map. Visuals are very good and game play is well paced. There are a couple puzzles, one of which you must look very carefully to solve. Recommend playing on hard for an hour or so of fun … and watch your back, and sides, and front. (Ran without errors on Linux and Steam Photon [Wine] compatability mode.)

  5. Graphically a great map, but unfortunately far too short and abruptly over. I really hope that you will see more mods in the future, because you have shown one thing: You can do it! 🙂

  6. Maybe?

It looked decent and played well, both in terms of pacing and frame rate!

However, it is meant to be a short romp and plays as such, meaning it serves its purpose but does not provide a full length experience. If you’re looking for a longer mod this isn’t something I’d recommend, however if you want to add more bits and bobs to your Half-Life map collection give it a try!

  7. Play It Later

very nice it was very short if it was longer it would be perfect

  8. Play It Later

there were some nice idea and also some strange facts but the most important is that it was a pleasant experience even if it was perhaps too short hope the author increase his skill to provide us something bigger and more polished 🙂

  9. ruki-san (giga tyrant)

Loved the combat in this one, very frantic very fun. Although that first “puzzle” was awful, i had to noclip into the room to realize that i had to shot an outlet that’s incredibly hard to see.

  10. Maybe?

Quite mediocre but it is still fun to play at least. It’s that it’s just an ordinary hl2 map like the old days. Shoot zombies, go to that area, shoot combines, rinse and repeat, nothing new.

  11. Play It Later

A bit unfair at time with all the shotgunners

  12. Anon_1938978

kinda short but it was fun nonetheless

  13. Play It Later

I thought that it was a good map, but wish it could have lasted a little longer. I was just getting started when it ended. Please keep developing this map and re-release it vadimhalo

Oh MAN love the one-hit boxes. So satisfying.

Great intro and world-building with the resonating music. Good atmosphere. Kinda lame zombie combat, though. Too open and slow-paced.

Ambushes were brutal. I did enjoy the details, though, like exploring the room the soldiers came out of and seeing where I walked in on the security camera screen. Enemy placement felt more believable than the usual cramped, dark closets packed with soldiers.

God damn the SMG sux. Such a frustratingly ineffective weapon for this type of spongy enemy at range type of combat.

Combat was tense and chaotic with confusing elements tossed into the mix like obscuring enemies behind forcefields. I consider myself a seasoned Half-Life player and even a few of these encounters caught me off guard.

However, combat was best enjoyed on a second attempt after seeing what you’re supposed to be looking for. Perhaps a little too difficult. The player should feel challenged but still able to finish the encounter without feeling like you need to reload a save. Fortunately, health was plentiful which limits save-scumming but leaves the player feeling unsatisfied that they were able to so sloppily escape that clearly unfair ambush.

Doors were confusing. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they lead, sometimes they mislead. Inconsistent design that only serves to confuse the player. Making the forcefield plugs so inconspicuous leads to lots of wandering around looking for a path forward.

All in all, not a bad mod that definitely deserves a play. It has some frustrating elements, but they don’t last long and the mapping has you constantly grinding forward. You could easily bump this up a point or two by swapping in the AR2 and wayyy more shotgun ammo. In fact, I might just go try an impulse 101 run of Uzvara…
