This map only gets a Consider it. purely because it is so small. It is probably worth playing this on hard to make it worthwhile.

The strange thing is that the title is so wrong.

Shouldn’t the first line of the installation instructions read: “Copy NoShelter.bsp into your Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Maps folder.”?

    Think Twice

Pointless and not worth bothering with, other then shooting down a few gunships of which one takes 28 hits to bring down there is very little else to this map. Seems to be unfinished effort and has such I would think twice about playing, although you could have some fun trying to shoot down the first gunship without cheating.

  5. Think Twice

As said, there is shelter, and practically the only enemies you face are a hunter-chopper and a gunship, which appear separately.

You could maybe use bombs to kill the hunter-chopper, to change things up… (Hmm, maybe practice for Ep2? Which I need–not commenting on anyone else.)

This map starts off looking pretty promising (apart from the weird breakable doors). There’s a fun little combine shootout then you go to a nice looking outdoors area (apart from the blocky skybox area). The problem is, the only enemies from this point onwards are a chopper and a gunship. I kind of like fighting these, but when they’re all that your map has, it’s not really worth playing. Also, there’s definitely shelter, you start off in a freaking elevator to a building. I don’t recommend this, but it’s not too bad, just pointless.

  7. Maybe?

Tiny map. You practice your RPG skills on a chopper and a gunship. The chopper took like 20-30 hits while the gunship took like 5. Go figure.

  8. Think Twice

Started fine, but ended quickly. I wasn’t sure if I had completed all requirements but ended up leaving the game because I couldn’t figure out how to continue past the ground floor level of the building and yard.
