  1. Brain

    Damn, another unfinished mod!

  2. Why on Half Life Release section then?

    🙁

  3. Why on Half Life Release section then?

Because it was released. Even if a demo is released then I chose to add it to the released.

This was a time when I was actively adding mods in development but as you may know that just got to be too much work.

    Think Twice

I am not sure if the author is still working on this mod, but has it stands it does not amount to much

  5. Maybe?

I was so excited when I saw this since I’m a huge Robotech Fan!

Unfortunately, you become highly disappointed fairly quickly. Besides great
cartoony models player/monster models and some nice weapon replacements,
there isn’t much to say about it.

-The level design is utterly bleh with no custom textures.
-gameplay is ok I guess but it’s confusing because all the hallways look exactly the same
-not a single sound from the original robotech.

I’m going 3 stars just because i’m a robotech fan and the models were nice.

I love Robotech: Invasion and Half-Life, but it’s a unfinished mod!

  7. Avoid It!

I do not understand why anyone would rate this above Avoid. While it is clear the authors were passionate about Robotech in terms of the modelling and the lore, the level design is God awful.

Endless featureless corridors that mostly lead nowhere. When the combat kicks off, it’s in the same bland, empty corridors so you’re simply trading shots with reskinned HECU grunts. Until one point were I had to use ALL of my ammo taking out two giant crab things.

Overall, it’s not finished and it’s not worth your time.

  8. Avoid It!

What does this have to do with Robotech? You get custom models for NPCs but the combat and level design doesn’t support the quality of the mod. What’s worse is this is unfinished so don’t bother playing this. I’d rather play Macross Triangle Frontier on PSP instead

  9. Avoid It!

Robotech – Invasion is not worth playing. There are a number of custom models which would be cool to see if mattered at all. What this boils down to is a series of boring and random corridor shootouts vs hgrunts with some re-skinned barneys and scientists somewhere in the background. Oh, and there’s some planes and bikes at the end.

The level design is very poor. As soon as you step into the first hallway you know exactly what the rest of the maps look like. There is little to no detailing in the hallways so it’s incredibly boring to even walk through. This combined with the slowed player movement speed, the huge inaccuracy of the guns and increased damage make for a plodding and unsatisfying gameplay experience. When you have no way of knowing where your bullets will go but you die in a couple of shots you end up camping corners and hoping to blast the grunts as they round the corner.

Not worth your time. Maybe open up the models in the model viewer if you’re a Robotech fan.
