  1. Phillip says Maybe

Writing reviews for such short maps (this took 5 minutes to play) is quite hard because there’s only so much you can either rave or complain about.

As part of something larger it would be fine but on its own it’s hard to recommend it. I’ve certainly played worse but it’s really only for players who want to play everything.

There’s a missing texture, which you can see in at least one of the screenshots. I don’t know whether that’s my fault or the author’s.

LOL – I love your reviews, Phillip. Always right on the money 🙂

  4. Maybe?

    just this…it’s linear repetitive not challenging…but hopefully not frustrating…just a little 5min jogging 😉

    Think Twice

Could not finish this due to no graphics with air-duct sections.

maybe buildcubemaps would fix the missing textures?

  7. Maybe?

It’s something to do. The combat was fine, nothing too hard or frustrating.

The graphics in the air ducts were bad/wrong/I don’t know what. I made it through (thankfully they were pretty short sections–if there were long vent-crawling sections I would have had to quit). If a grate was right in front of me, I could see it and into the next room without any problems. When I seemed to be stopped, I started bashing with the crowbar and found what was wall and what wasn’t.

  8. Maybe?

    Startup:
Having a patrolling guard watching the cells was a good feature to add in for this map, although without even having to turn around there’s missing textures from the airvent.
After entering the airvent I was struggling to go into the other as it has a small ledge at the bottom, which would mean I would have to jump whilst crouching, this was an annoyance.
Although the description says it has no puzzles there are clearly some amount of thinking required to this mod when it comes to finding a path.

    Combat Sequence:
Combat was a bit in an unfair position, giving you advantages that the guards couldn’t do themselves. Although it was a tad difficult to not get shot a couple of times, the combat was short.

    Mapping and Detail:
As mentioned already, there were missing textures at the airvents which was obnoxious to go through. The map itself didn’t seem like a Combine area as it lacked in detail of their presence around the area. Also, what type of guards would put a turret that lets prisoners get to easily?
The way the doors were positioned when opening them were a brilliant idea, making it seem like a stealth moment of taking guard(s) down without making a fuss.

I’d rate this a “Maybe?” for those who would find themselves bored to try this one out, hopefully without losing their eyes from the vents.

“I can’t stand this cell, that vent is giving me a hard time sleeping!”
