The Extreme Fight for Half-Life 2: Episode Two - Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

A couple of distinct areas to find and kill the Hunters and Antlions. It’s not about the architecture in this map but the gameplay. My screenshots don’t show but there is at least one Hunter and the Buggy is available. I’ll be honest and say I haven’t found the buggy yet and every time I fight the Hunter I die. Man I suck at this map!

ONE hunter you say!! There are so many hunters and Antlion guards, you get totaly mobed!!! Not enough ammo either! I couldn’t find the trigger for the buggy either, so don’t feel too bad, Phillip!!

Why have the last bit of maps Ive played lack a savegame? Is it my settings or something? It’s very distracting to keep one of my digits near F6 when I’m trying to concentrate on my game. Is it normal to complain about stuff like this? I mainly play the Half-Life series because I get so into it but to have to keep my eye on the possible danger of losing all my progress just ruins it for me. I’d like to play this dudes map normally but I guess I have to sadly buddha my way thru it.

    Regards,
A random complaint by some random dude…

Half Life 1 Source often has the autosave off by default. I don’t know the command (I don’t have ep2 installed), but it’s probly cl_autosave or sv_autosave. Make sure it’s set to 1.

I’m not a fan of the quick save system myself either. Lucky HL2s autosaves are well placed for the most part. I hate it when it saves with 3 hp just before a massive gunfight though.

    Play It Now!

this is rather fun,one must use alot of thought on the best way to handle these beasts, lure them all out and they fight each other, the button the get to the car is up on the platform that looks down to the gate.stack the blocks to the door on the ramp, then shoot shoot shoot the zombines and a few hunters in the halls ,find the way to the roof and then more ammo and lots of action to watch/shoot down below.got the gate open but havnt made my way back down yet, morehunters appeared in the halls and its nap time so they will have to wait.
oh and sv/impulse/save alot ! there are plenty of weapons but its hard to look around with a hunter up your _____
also this seems to run very well on my modest pc ,with all the action going on no freezing or crashes

you dont want the car,it comes with pleeennnty of hunters and metro cops. I just stood by the car (after a few failed joy rides) and sniped all the hunters 357/xbow/rockets then ran over the metrocops. I think thats the end. I noclipped around and found a room full of crabs in middle of the building and a lone hunter under the map, very mad it was all alone. seems like you can spawn different enemys according to the text havnt tried it but will soon.

found a gregory with a crowbar not sure what he was to do?

Well, this was sort of fun. Much of it is pretty dark. There is plenty of ammo but not much health, and you probably have to take some damage to get things going. It will be interesting to play it the right way now that I know how.

I had fun running over Hunters with the car–good practice, but had to give myself some health to do it. I know there’s an alternate way to play this; and perhaps a better “driver” could do it without extra health.

    1. I managed to play through it without any cheats. (Well, I did noclip rather than stack the boxes–but I did it right once so don’t feel like I have to again.) I ended up with over 70 health at the end, even. 🙂

In order to get things going, you have to get the side gates open–which also lead to your first weapons. If you stack the boxes and get to the upper level first, I don’t know if you can get the gates open without dying or cheating.

  7. Maybe?

very strange and complicated map for me, I see its a few years old. killing from the rooftop was fun. could’ve used a bit more health on the upper areas. not a bad play once I figured out what was happening.

  8. Avoid It!

    Nope.

It’s an ugly, huge yet empty map with too many enemies and too little ammunition. It has more antlion guards than all the HL2 games have combines, and tons of hunters. Impulse 101 is your only hope. It gives you the option to spawn enemies into the map, but it wants you to mess with the configuration to do so, and some of the keys were my default controls anyway. Don’t bother with this, it’s not even a good sandbox map.

  9. Maybe?

Large open map with triggers that spawn 20 hunters/antlion bosses at once. There is also lots of crossbows and rpgs which I suspect is meant to be used on the hunters/antlion bosses. Theres also a car but the gate that locks it is well hidden. There are also 20 of other enemies (but especially hunters) in large open space.

This basically feels like someone playing garrys mod.
