Southernmost Combine is an alternate epilogue to Half-Life 2: Episode 2, in which Gordon Freeman is sent back in time to the 1980s to stop a Combine recon deployment happening in the southernmost land of the world. There are a few deviations in gameplay mechanics (more tactical and slow paced, no gravity gun, inventory) but it´s still Gordon fighting the combine and rebels helping him to achieve it. This is a small episode consisting of a varied set of locales with unique art made specifically to bring Source to the look of the South American region in the 1980s.

In 2013’s Half Life 2 mod Deep Down, Jim Partridge took several key aspects from Episode Two, Alyx and the car, and expanded on these in an attempt to re-create that amazing Half-Life 2 feeling that everyone is looking for. Now, with seven additional years worth of level and environment design experience, Jim has taken another swing at the concept. With thirteen almost entirely new maps, new environments, new gameplay concepts, new puzzles, custom models (care of Ed Vincent), and original music (from Anicator), Deeper Down asks you to hit the road one last time and take down the one enemy who’s always been watching.
A Combine tower lies in the middle of the forest, providing energy to all Combine units in the area. Its destruction would greatly benefit the Resistance. You find yourself in the shoes of Gordon Freeman, tasked with destroying the construction.
After the explosion in Nova Prospekt, Gordon Freeman teleports to City 16, right during the beginning of the uprising.
The mod features replayability, based on difficulties.
The chosen difficulty in Options BEFORE LAUNCHING A MAP will affect many things during your playthrough.
The author highly recommends to play on Normal difficulty during your first playthrough.
You play as a cosmonaut who has had to abandon their space station, but upon arriving back on earth, discover that the place has been overrun by the combine. What happens next? Do you give in to the Combine army, or do you resist and use your skills to find some way of escaping?
Cosmonaut is Dolmo’s greatly expanded and polished version of his entry of the same name for last year’s NostalgiaVille mapping challenge.
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world…
Anti-Citizen follows an unnamed agent of the G-man, inserted into the middle of City 17 during the armed uprising against the Combine.
Aid the resistance in repelling Combine forces that are coming down hard on the citizens of City 17.
You’ve got plenty of ammo, health, suit power and weapons.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is that there are plenty of antlions, Combine soldiers and dropships.
How many enemies can you kill and how long can you stay alive?
