    Avoid It!

    Yes, totally pointless.

  3. Avoid It!

First released authors map. Can (or should?) be played as Deathmatch too.
There’s indeed just three floors inside a large building, the rooms are big, empty and all boxy.
It’s also quite dark and the only things you can find are several weapons and ammo, rarely enemies.
Knowing it’s a first try of mapping, it really looks like what people would expect or even worse.
There’s just no atmosphere or any details.
Just fight your way through the floors until you reach rooftop with a few more grunts and that’s it.
The secret area with the Gauss is nice, but can’t save the map.
It just lacks of too many essential things, and everything looks very basic and just random.
Such as story, puzzles, balancing, action, design, length etc. etc.
I even wouldn’t play Deathmatch with it.

Avoid it! It will be only 3-5 minutes of gameplay anyway.

  4. Avoid It!

A series of huge empty rooms with a handful of enemies and stockpiles of weapons. I’ve seen a couple of comments saying it can be played as a deathmatch map, but that would be even worse due to the linear layout.

So, in summary, probably avoid it.

  5. Avoid It!

This mod is underdevolped. There’s even excesive amount of ammo, for what? And 3 G-Man standing still doing nothing? Doors huge like boxes?!! Too many irrational designs.

  6. Think Twice

This map isn’t good but I got some enjoyment out of it. As others have mentioned, it’s two floors of boxy rooms and corridors with a flat roof level as well. Because the rooms are so large it’s easy to bhop around so that provides some fun. For such an amateur map the combat is remarkably restrained – you can actually finish the map without god mode and there are some fun little combat puzzles to solve. I enjoyed finding the hidden gauss corridor and figuring out how I could deal with the turrets in the hallway. Using the gauss to easily clear the roof was a nice payoff too.

Again, this isn’t what I’d call a good map but there is some fun to be had here.
