Chinatown is a new Single-player MOD for Half-Life. Since Half-Life originally came out, the graphics performance of PCs has vastly increased. To create a more realistic atmosphere, Chinatown features a higher poly count that most other MODs.
This mod was never released and to my knowledge is the only file ever made available. It’s actually a 0.01 Alpha, so don’t expect too much.

Extremely short, but nice. Shame nothing more was released 🙂
Yup. Just a demo. 3 maps that look good. New voices and interactive ‘multiple choice” conversations. No action triggers yet. Let’s hope there’s more sometime.
Guess this one is going nowhere now after 7 years, it’s not worth the download no gameplay here. Avoid it.
There’s no way not to avoid this; there are no links left.
Just few maps and even crashes back to menu when i try to talk to cashier at 7Eleven.
That dialogue system was really interesting. Can’t remember seeing anything like that in any other HL1 mod. And not just text, custom voice acting too.
Wonder what happened to this mod, they had rather big team working on this.
I dont wanna say “avoid it”, because more players (and mod makers) should see (and copy) that conversation system!
