You play a scientist going about his day as Black Mesa suddenly becomes infested with aliens.
Find any weapons you can and try to reach the surface.
Watch out for enemies, they come from all around you!
Good Luck.
I was playing a mod this morning and found ammo before I got any weapons.
My first thought was to go back and look again, which is exactly what I did.
I spent, or wasted!, 5 minutes retracing my steps.

Starting in an apartment building you need to make your way through City 21 until you reach the port.
Of course, along the way you are attacked by numerous Combine enemies.
Your only hope is a fishing boat.
Can you make it there alive?

Wikipedia defines Flashbulb Memories as “a highly detailed, exceptionally vivid ‘snapshot’ of the moment and circumstances in which a piece of surprising and consequential (or emotionally arousing) news was heard.”
We normally associate flashbulb memories with incredibly sociological events and I in no way want to belittle these types of events or their consequences by comparing our mini-memories of videos games to these events.

“Half-Life: Dreamcast is a PC port of the unreleased Sega Dreamcast console version of Half-Life developed by Gearbox Software originally slated for release in late 2000.
The Dreamcast version possesses many unique differences compared to the original PC game and Gearbox’s later PlayStation 2 port, including modified levels, exclusive NPC models and props not seen anywhere else, adjusted difficulty, and a host of sly Dreamcast references hidden throughout.
This PC port allows the game to run as a Half-Life mod on Steam.”

I got an email from GameFly last week, trying to sell me their service. You can rent games or something, I don’t really know or care.
It seems that they have bought or merged with Direct2Drive, so they also have a client like Steam. I even have a code for 30% discount on my first purchase, plus a code for 30 days free rental service. If any reader would like them, please contact me – first come, first served.

So I was checking out a game on Steam and I noticed who had the game and one person I know has all the games on Steam.
Yes, I do mean all.
Some readers know him, but I won’t explicitly say who he his. He has a special Steam account that gives him every single game released.

Well, 2011 wasn’t exactly a fantastic year for SP Source modding but there were some interesting things that happened.
This isn’t a review of the year, just a look at some of the highlights.
