  1. Maybe?

Not bad for short mod, the end battle is tricky against the human grunts. Apache is too easy.

OK piledriver I will give it a play. Bytheway, why did you not rate it 3 in the above ranking facility?

  3. Got to say I didn’t think of it. Now I have.
The ranking facillity is out of view while making a comment and after posting. Unless there’s a reminder to rate a map/mod by the “add your comment” button some people are likely to forget 😉
The “consider it” icon already has 3 stars, so there’s a bit of repetition there perhaps?
I’m sure I remember some talk elsewhere about automatic ranking display, derived from the recommendation images people have chosen, but thats another topic….

    Think Twice

Basic and boxy design having all the signs of a first map by the author. A tough end scene against well positioned Grunts being the only saving grace for this one.

  5. I’ve added 7 screenshots kindly supplied by piledriver.

not the best but its a little nice

  7. Think Twice

Tight rooms leading to a larger warehouse-like area with plenty of tactical combat.
Unfortunately it’s also very short and the only appreciable content is that combat as ther are no puzzles, nor a story.
The beginning starts interesting, you grab your HEV suit, some weapons and have to silent some aliens before reaching the warehouse.
In there, you won’t survive long if you don’t use some strategies to kill the numerous grunts.
Suddenly the ceiling will break in…

A typical gruntfest-like map but with shooting some aliens before facing the grunts. The lighting is nice and it looks like a BM-style facility.
If only the rooms wouldn’t be or feel so tight to move in. This gets better when reaching the warehouse. There are crates where you should take cover when facing the grunts. But careful, they are usually breakable when shot!

It was to fun to play but very short and the end is sort of disappointing yet again. However, gruntfest lovers will probably like it (even more than I did, maybe?!)

    Pro’s:
-Decent mapping with good layouts, maybe a bit too tight at first, good lighting
    -Solid combat action, requiring tactics
-Balancing, the grunts can be tough to kill but there are numerous health chargers (nonetheless for pros it’s too easy, so balancing could be rated negative)
-A surprising script at the end
-Good atmosphere at first, ambient sounds
-HEV suit and weapons right from the beginning

    Con’s:
    -Very short (~3-10 mins)
    -No real story
    -No puzzles
    -Stupid AI
    -Tight rooms, corridors at start
    -Sudden end, a pity!
    -Minor performance issues

  8. Maybe?

There’s not a lot to say about this one, honestly. It doesn’t do anything interesting, different or spectacular.

The mapping is lame, especially the combat, since the enemies are not so well placed (especially that fight at the end). The lighting is mostly OK, but it could have been a lot better.

Overall, if you’re looking for a short 5-6 minutes map, then look no further. Don’t expect anything interesting going on; just shoot some grunts.
