Week 47

Well, I’ve been promising this stream for some time, and here it finally is! Squeaking in on the last weekend of the month is Sweet Half-Life for Classic of the Month. I’ll be streaming Saturday starting at 10am Eastern US Time (3pm GMT, 4pm Central European Time).

Phillip may also stream something this weekend, keep an eye on his twitter and the RTSL YouTube Channel for the info.

Sorry, Dan is in the middle of moving across the country and settling in at his new place, so there’s no Source of Fame stream this month.

Week 46

Happy Birthday, HL! Half-Life was released a mere 18 years ago, on November 19, 1998. And we’re celebrating with a special stream weekend!

First, Phillip’s massive Autumn 12-hour Playathon is tomorrow! He’ll be streaming starting at 12pm Central European Time (11am GMT, 6am Eastern US) and running to midnight his time, 11pm GMT and 6pm Eastern US. Phillip hasn’t shared exactly what he’ll be streaming, but there might be some surprises in there!

Immediately following Phillip’s Playathon, I will be playing the original Half-Life. So I expect this stream to start at 12 midnight Central European Time, 11pm GMT, 6pm Eastern US – give or take. It won’t be a speedrun, nor will I be especially taking my time. Come watch!

All streams will be on the RTSL YouTube Channel.

New Maps in the Hall of Fame

I’ve been playing and streaming the Classic of the Month maps for over a year and a half already, hard to believe.

I’ve definitely played some that are probably stretching the “classic” designation. But I’ve played a few others that are definitely worthy of the “Classic” name – so much so that I’ve decided to add them to the Hall of Fame.

Week 37

This weekend, I’m continuing my Classic of the Month event, where I play a classic GoldSource release. I try to pick some from the Hall of Fame and some that aren’t on the HoF list. This month it’s Smart Decoy. It’s one of my all-time favorite Half-Life map packs, and one I’ve always considered a hidden gem because not many people seem to know about it.

The stream will be on Saturday at 10am Eastern time / 3pm UK / 4pm Central European time.

Scylla

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Gordon is forced to venture through a dilapidated, hostile environment in order to clear the tram line of an alien infestation.

Offering approximately 15-30 minutes of gameplay, Scylla takes the player through a winding environment full of deadly hazards and enemies. Your performance may alter parts of the level as you progress. Be sure to watch out for special NPCs; not all are obvious.
