The Forgotten Journey – An Interlopers.net Mapping competition

23rd April 2014

Just a quick post to let mappers and modders know that Interlopers.net is hosting a mapping competition.

They have some great prizes and the theme looks interesting.

For full details, visit the competition page.

It’s a small PITA as it overlaps when I planned my next mapping competition, but I might wait until this is finished or I may run mine when I planned.

  1. Hmm. Thanks for sharing, as I don’t check interlopers very often and had no idea of this contest. I had just started a small mod for HL2 but I might switch over to this since the deadline is sure to keep me on track. I’m also looking forward to the next PP competition. Didn’t have much time to work on an entry for ravenholmville, but hopefully I’ll have time for the next one.

Interesting to see though before the actual competition there was a vote for which game to be featured and despite the small number of votes, the result gives us hope http://www.interlopers.net/images/news/news_extra/310314_vote_int.jpg

  3. Very interesting theme indeed. I’m actually suprised that HL2 won that voting. But then again, its much harder to judge a Multiplayer map.

I might just enter this competition.

Hey Phillip just to know: Will You post a link with the available maps/mods once they are released on that website?? That would be nice to us gamers to see what’s the new material around.

    1. I’m working on a plan at the moment.

  5. Unfortunately it completely clashes with my exam period so there’s no way I could enter this competition. It will be interesting to see how many entries they get. The theme is very vague compared to what the PP competitions usually have so I wonder how that will affect things.

  6. Seeing as only the top 5 get published on Interlopers and being a noob mapper myself I don’t think I’ll enter this one. Although on that note I wonder how many maps that don’t make the top 5 cut will end up on here.

    1. Hopefully, every single map will be released here too.
