You wake up and remember nothing except your name – Gordon.
Where are you?
Why are you here?
What are you supposed to do?
Can you figure it out?
Author’s Notes: “The original goal of Zombie Cleanup was to create a Half-Life 2 level that uses the crossbow in a unique way.
The overall objective of the level is to kill your way through three waves of zombies using a new and improved version of the crossbow called the !fire crossbow”.
The design of the level is quite simple with four main areas: the starting alley, the rebel house, the two side alleys where the zombies come from, and the storage room.”
Authro’s Notes: “Shadow of Breen takes place after the events of Half Life 2: Episode 1.
A small group of rebel commandos sets out to destroy Dr. Breen’s broadcasting and propaganda facility.
The level takes place in a narrow canyon located somewhere in an eastern European forest. Play style focuses on action-based decision making with emphasis on environmental cues.
Elements of a scene such as lighting, geometry, sound, and detail draw attention and spark a player’s curiosity (even subconsciously). A central theme in this level is the player’s use of the crossbow (a typically underutilized weapon) to trigger environmental events…”
Earth has lost contact with the Mars Base.
Of all the people they could send, they send you.
Bad luck for whatever caused the break in contact.
Good luck for you because you can have some fun.
Your job: Re-establish contact.
Author’s Note: “An episodic narrative mod.
Explore the remains of a town destroyed by its own tragedy in a collection of short, interactive vignettes.
Solve environmental puzzles and uncover the mystery of how, somewhere along the line, the whole world fell out of existence completely.”
In this 15-map mappack, you get to revisit the Black Mesa Research Facility.
Of course, nothing goes the way you expect it – that is if you expect it to go smoothly!
You will need to fight your way through and solve puzzles along the way to reach the waiting helicopter.
Are you smart and determined enough? Let’s find out.
I was just checking Reddit and started reading a thread entitled I Just Finished HL2: Ep2 and there wa a message on there by somebody saying he/she hadn’t finished Ep2 because not having HL3/Ep3 made him sad and it got me thinking, how many PP readers haven’t finished the games.
I’m pretty sure we had the discussion before but because readers come and go, I thought it was time for a new one.
I sometimes don’t watch the last episode of a TV series and wait for the next series to come on, so I can watch it just before. I HATE cliffhangers.
If you haven’t finished a game or games, why not?
