It is with some trepidation that I announce the 50 Sourcey Days of Summer!
For the next 50 consecutive days, I will be adding new maps or updating older maps. All will be Source based, mostly Half-Life 2.
I have created a special page for the event, prosaically and rather obviously called 50 Sourcey Days of Summer and it is similar to the 100 Summer Days of Nostalgia event, which believe it or not I ran 7, yes, SEVEN!!! years ago.
It’s linked to on the second menu, under the header images.
I hope to post screenshots etc and even my review, for each map or mod I post or update. I plan to update quite old maps, so don’t get too excited. There will be new releases added too though.
I should tress that I will do my utmost to not miss a day but I seem to be much busier than 7 years ago, so I won’t make any promises.
I have already posted NostalgiaVille for today’s release.

I like this idea. It will give me 50 good maps/packs that are updated and will work for current half-life builds!
Looks like I will be busy playing half-life for the next 50 days too. Good times.
Just to clarify.
1. These will be for Half-Life 2, Ep1 or Ep2
2. The chances are they won’t be all “good”, if anything most will be “Average” at best.
It’s really just a reason to update older mods. I won’t be playing them and choosing the best ones. I’ll just find old maps that need updating and we see what happens.

I just wanted to try more maps; I would like to download and have them run. I’m on very slow rural DSL. So for me, knowing if a map runs is more important than it’s rating.
I understand the burden of version control and maintaining compatibility.
In short, I think you are crazy to try for 50 maps in 50 days. Ha-Ha. Just do your thing and don’t worry about me.
I’m so happy about this! Even though I wasn’t present when 100SDoN was happening, I’m sure I’m gonna have a great time!

No, because some are already mods and putting them all together would be too big. I also want to keep each download separate so the total match the right numbers. I know that it would be useful for you to be able to download all in one go but it’s just not feasible for me, sorry.
Did we only make it 30 days?
Nope we have finished off with all 50 days, the 50sdos table has to be updated though.
As Koneko said, I did finish the 50. There are two ways to view the maps until I update the page.
1. Go to the PLAY table and use “50SDOS” in either the Instant Filter on the top or use “50SDOS” in the TAG filter at the bottom of the table.
2. Use the 50SDOS Tag.
