He seems such an interesting character, that it seems a shame he hasn’t been used by mod makers or Valve. It would make a perfect expansion, what happened before and after Gordon Freeman arrived.

Assume the 1 long mod has 15 levels and the 5 mods have 3 levels each. Also assume that the gameplay time and quality of the levels are the same, which would you prefer?

Whilst the Half-Life series never really went crazy with regard to vehicles there have always been fun things to drive or ride.

My first thought is that generally it’s a bad idea but if mod teams like those mentioned above didn’t exist then we wouldn’t get to play games/mods in those fictional universes.

I’ve been a vocal opponent of Episodes almost from the beginning. I don’t like them and feel they have stifled the modding community by making modders unsure which engine they should make the mod for.
