Basic Details

The location is the Black Mesa Storage Facility – Bay A2, after hours. It’s late at night and in the distance you can hear the Black Mesa announcements for night shift. Your hiding spot has been located and as usual they send in the best they have and lock the doors……Good luck!

Can anyone help me find the tool required to open the trap door in the tunel so I can complete the 3rd task ?
I have searched high and low, found the conveyer key, 2 MP5 grenades that have no graphic representation in the game (invisible) but nothing that will open the trap door.
    any help apreciated.
    P.S. fair game plays well.

I think you just have to kill all those snipers and that’s about it IIRC.

  3. Heyzors

This map is kind of dumb…at least single player. And its really dumb that there is some rockets and tao cannons that you can’t get and some health and suit energy that you can’t get.

    Maybe?

Agree with Heyzors. Not much fun. No screenshots possible – way too dark. Never found a suit. Died a lot. Just a room filled with stuff and human grunts. Some maps are made for the authors enjoyment only. Unrewarding.

    Think Twice

This map wasn’t too bad actually, I managed to squeeze a bit of enjoyment out of it. You can get about 7 minuets of play out of this at a push. I found it WAY too dark to play properly, so I turned up the brightness. The detail isn’t bad and definitely feels like a storage area of Black Mesa. You really don’t get a sense of accomplishment from it though. Overall, I’d say play it only if you really enjoyed Half-Life and want a quick FPS thrill.

  6. Avoid It!

A single room which is very dark, without a light. Simply fight grunts and a sniper.
    That’s it.

    Pro’s:
    -Stealth action
    -Lot of ammo

    Con’s:
-No HEV suit at all times…
-…meaning no use of the health+HEV station plus…
-…meaning no flashlight, as it’s very dark
    -Very short playtime
-No story, puzzles or anything like that – just cleaning out one room in the dark, yawn!

For all I know, this could be the best level ever. Unfortunately, I couldn’t actually tell if that was the case or if – as I suspect is rather more likely – that the opposite is true. Why? Simply because this must be the darkest level I’ve ever played and this is the reason for the “screenshots” up above.

The author must be running the brightest monitor in history with gamma correction at the maximum setting to have enjoyed this map. Either that or he didn’t actually try to play it after creating it. To save you the download, try this simulation: load up any old level, turn off the monitor and then attempt to play. The experience will be essentially the same.
