Brief Bio
Hello there. I'm a college grad currently in that lull of life between the end of your education and finding a job for the first time. I studied on a 3D art course masquerading as a game design course and it was shit, but that's not important right now. I like playing games a bit more than might be considered healthy. Among the games I like are Half-Life and it's sequels/expansion packs. I've had an interest in modding from a young age, and while I've little experience today, I hope to acquire some in the near- er, foreseeable future sounds more accurate. But until then, I'll just play other people's stuff. Turds and gold encrusted gems alike.

Playing Style Description

Bizarrely, single player FPS-es are the only kinds of games I'll play extremely aggressive. Usually because I can save-scum until the cows come home. Otherwise I'm more cautious unless the enemy's retarded or I can get away with it easily.

Playing History

I can't recall how I got introduced to Valve. But I knew of Half-Life only by it's counterpart(?) Portal. I've been in love with Portal since late 2015. (Yeah I know, late to the band wagon. Sue me.) Before then, I'd picked up TF2. TF2 introduced me to the Source Engine. Before long, I played my first Half-Life game. Half-Life 2 I remember enjoying on my first go. Eventually I stumbled across Black Mesa and bought that on the Christmas of 2016. It ran like shit on my old craptop but I thought it looked so beautiful, as I played I found myself increasingly growing frustrated with it for reasons that I don't remember. Thus, I backtracked all the way to where it began, Half-Life 1. Half-Life 1 was love at first sight for me. I played it from start to end in one sitting and I adored it. The GoldSrc engine is a thing of beauty. When I returned to Black Mesa, I gained an appreciation for it that I didn't have before, one I hold to this day. Today, I often revisit Half-Life 1; usually with mods like Brutal Half-Life. But I also got into Half-Life as a speedgame. I can finish it in under 45 minutes when I put my mind to it. Having this level of skill makes my times in Sven Coop interesting, I'll say that much. The Black Mesa Xen beta releases have been excellent too.

Additional information

I've tried to get into mapping twice and failed twice. A third crack at it is impending. I gained some modelling experience from my two years at college. Of note, this Tau Cannon: https://postimg.cc/23hC5vWr . Scripting... no. Texturing, see the modelling description. Kinda bad at it though. Voice Acting I wouldn't mind giving a shot someday, come to think of it. On the Writing front... does passing English with an A mean anything in this regard, also Does fiddling with Audacity count as Sound experience? Lastly, I don't know the first thing about Music composition.
