Week 22

Firstly, Darren will be continuing his The Ville Retrospective event and this week it’s the turn of MiddleVille starting at 1pm UK Time on Saturday (GMT+1).

Secondly, Phillip will be streaming one his practice mapping sessions, which is part of The Level Design Academy. It’s most likely to be Saturday morning.

Thirdly, there is a small chance that Phillip and Don will be streaming the 3rd Tutoring session on Sunday, but this is unlikely – mostly because Phillip hasn’t practised enough since the last one. Naughty boy!

You should double check the Time & Date.Com website for your local time. Please note the UK is not on GMT during the summer, so use 1pm UK or London time to check the stream time in your time zone.

All streams will be on the RTSL Twitch Channel and announced on the RTSL Twitter Feed.

If you have any questions about the streams, just ask.

Very Important change to the game giveaways

From this month, nearly ALL game giveaways will be done on the RTSL YouTube channel. Most of them will be given away in the What The Headcrab! Episodes, with Phillip asking a asking and selecting a random answer from the YouTube comments.

The games mostly come courtesy of Aaron’s SteamContests.com, so a huge thanks to him and his site – go check it out to have a chance to win more games.

Mega Miigga Event

Over the last few months, I have been streaming more and more, and I have to say I am enjoying it. It’s forcing me to play more, which I always neglect.

So, I have decided to start my own streaming events. The first official one is called Mega Miigga.

Unlike many of the other Events here on RTSL, MegaMiigga takes place over a few weekends, instead of a monthly stream.

During the first, third and maybe fourth weekends of April 2016, I will play and discuss all of the SP releases by Miigga, including his entries into the *Ville mapping Challenges.

It is difficult to estimate exactly how long this event will take, but I will stream for at least four hours each weekend.

Each map will be livestreamed on the RTSL Twitch channel and then uploaded to the RTSL YouTube channel into its own playlist.

The event will be mentioned in the weekend stream and giveaway schedule posts.

Reminders will be posted on the RTSL Twitter and Facebook pages.

The event page, doesn’t have any embedded videos yet, as I haven’t created any.

The Details Table section contains all his releases and if you are a logged in member, the table will show you which maps you have reviewed.

I will also be using the event to update the screenshots and posts.

After that, I will start a new event.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Week 10: Livestream Schedule and Giveaways

Due to circumstances within my control but clearly beyond my limited intelligence, there are no streams scheduled for this weekend, sorry.

However, I will try to make time for a stream but can’t guarantee it.

I can say that LiberationVille WILL NOT be released this weekend. I want to have time to create a proper post and present the hard work of all the entrants properly. I understand this may disappoint many readers and I apologize for that. The weekends are the only time I get to work on the site at the moment and there just wasn’t time between the deadline (Monday 11pm and now) to create the post.

The judges have a working version of the mod, so hopefully everything will be ready for next weekend.

That reminds, I still have to send the prizes for ChasmVille, so the authors who came first, second and third expect an email soon. Also, please accept my apologies for the delay.

I certainly don’t want to spoil the mod, but I have used a screenshot from one of the maps as the featured image of this post. I haven’t played all the maps yet but suspect this challenge could become a classic.

So, that’s it from me. Have a GREAT GAMING weekend and if you see me online via Steam Friends feel free to chat with me. CYA

Week 09: Livestream Schedule and Giveaways

First off, Darren AKA CustomGamer, continues The Ville Retrospective, where he plays the Ville mapping challenges. This weekend it is VerticalVille on Saturday at 1pm GMT.

Unfortunately, that’s it so far, although if I manage to get more admin work done I MAY be playing Strider Mountain and even more of a maybe “Der Schwarze Nebel” mod!

During the weekend, a couple of copies of INFRA will be given away, both courtesy of SteamContests.com AKA Aaron’s Giveaways, so a HUGE thanks to Aaron.

Aaron is doing some great work over there and deserves a BIG shout out. For example, check out Emily Wants To Play giveaway.

If you have any questions about the streams, just ask.
